LOUDON, NH - The #29 Cartoon Network NASCAR Winston Cup Chevrolet
Monte Carlo that Jeff Green will pilot this weekend at New Hampshire
International Speedway is a new car that has never competed.
This will be the first time Green has competed at NHIS in a Winston
Cup car, but notes that he likes the track and looks forward to the
race this weekend.
"New Hampshire is a flat track," explained Green. "Flat tracks tend to
suit my driving style." Green has experienced success at NHIS in the
past while competing in the NASCAR Busch Series. In 1995, Green
dominated the race leading 121 of the 250 laps. In 1996, he finished
fourth. Earlier this year he qualified third and finished 13th.
The #29 Cartoon Network team unveiled a new car design in Daytona last
week.
On the hood, Tom & Jerry; right quarter panel, Cow & Chicken; left
quarter panel, Dexter and Dee Dee; and TV panel, Droopy.
The #29 Cartoon Network team tested at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on
July 7-9 (Mon.- Wed.). While in Indianapolis, Green and the entire
team waged some internal competition at a go-kart track owned by Indy
racer Stefan Johansson.
On Tuesday, July 15, NASCAR drivers Jeff Green and Elliott Sadler will
be visiting The Children's Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center in
Charlotte, N.C., from 10 am until noon. Green and Sadler will be
signing autographs and distributing gifts to the pediatric patients.
Jeff Green will compete in the Legends Summer Shootout on Tuesday,
July 15, at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Green is scheduled to compete
against John Andretti during the celebrity race that features two
NASCAR Winston Cup drivers each week.
