- Michael Cooper has joined the Skoal Bandit Racing team and among other
duties, he will change rear tires.
- "Michigan International Speedway is a lot like Pocono," says Schrader.
"We typically run real well at Pocono even though last weekend's Pocono 500
doesn't indicate that. We worked on our flat track set-up at Pocono and
will hopefully get it perfected this weekend so we will be ready for the new
California track, since it is a lot like both Pocono and Michigan. The flat
tracks use a completely different set-up compared to a high banked track."
- Schrader raced on some old short tracks this past week. He raced in Macon,
Ill., Tuesday night. He started 17th and finished third. "I took no prisoners,
I picked them off one by one," said Schrader. He also raced at his own dirt
track in Peavley, Mo., Wednesday night.
- Schrader will spend Father's Day at the race track with his family, just
like he has in the past.
