STRONG RUN BY ALLEN SPOILED AT THE END

LOUDON, NH - The one saying you hear when talking to most NASCAR drivers "You
have to give and take," didn't hold true in The US Cellular 200 on Saturday.
On a restart at lap 183, Luxaire driver Glenn Allen passed leader Jeff Fuller
to return to the lead lap. Heading into turn two, Allen received a bump from
behind and was sent spinning backwards, with a full field of 3,300 pound race
cars headed right at him. A couple of the cars made hard contact with Allen,
ending his day and sending him in the ambulance for a checkup at the infield
care center. Allen was released from the care center following a checkover
that proved negative.

Allen was among a group of 20 plus drivers that lost two laps when they were
forced to pit for fuel under green flag conditions. Allen fought hard to make
up the first lap and for a short moment had made up the second one.

"I really though we were going to be all right when I passed Fuller to regain
the lap back, I felt like he would be more concerned with the cars directly
behind him, than he would be with me," Allen said. "Unfortunately, we ended
up with a wrecked race car, when we should have been close to being in the top
ten at the end."

"The car was really good in the second half of the race, we blistered a right
front tire in the first half and that held us back some," Allen said. "Butch
Enders and the whole team worked so hard to get this car ready, they gave me a
great pit stop, and I was ready to give them and Luxaire another top ten, I
hate this happened to us."

Mike McLaughlin benefited from a risky early pit stop and won his second
career race. The New York native won by 0.106 seconds in a race with 9
cautions for 59 laps. The race held in between rain showers was slowed to a
speed of 76.752mph.

Glenn Allen and the Luxaire Race Team head to Nazareth, PA for this Sunday's
Core States Advantage 200. Nazareth Speedway is located just a couple of
hours from York, PA, the home of Luxaire.

"Hopefully we can keep the Luxaire Chevrolet out of trouble this weekend and
score another top ten in Nazareth," Allen said.
