John Nemechek Dies

Team Sabco Public Relations released the following statement regarding
the death of John Nemechek:

MIAMI, FL-(March 21, 1997)-John Nemechek, 27, the youngest brother of
NASCAR Winston Cup driver Joe Nemechek, died Friday at Jackson
Memorial Hospital as a result of massive head injuries sustained while
competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Florida Dodge Dealers
400 at the Miami's Homestead Motorsports Complex Sunday, March 16.

Joe Nemechek, along with his entire family, was by his brother's side
Friday and has elected not to compete in Sunday's TranSouth Financial
400 at Darlington, SC, Raceway.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later
time.
