Chrysler Expects High December Sales
01/06/97
Reuters reports that Chrysler Vice Chairman Richard Lutz said in Los Angeles at the end of last week that he expects Chrysler's December vehicle sales to rank "several percentage points" above where they were in December 1995. A year ago Chrysler sold 177,803 cars and trucks in the U.S, setting a December record. Lutz spoke to reporters gathered at the L.A. Auto Show via satellite from Detroit. The company was scheduled to release its December 1996 sales stats last Friday
Lutz said he expected industry-wide sales for 1997 to remain stable at somewhere between 15.1 million and 15.2 million vehicles, including medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
