Federal-Mogul Announces New V.P. for Human Resources


  Federal-Mogul Names Richard P. Randazzo Vice President of Human Resources
  


    SOUTHFIELD, Mich. Jan. 2 -- Richard A. Snell, chairman
and chief executive officer of Federal-Mogul Corporation
today announced the appointment of Richard (Dick) P. Randazzo to vice
president of human resources, effective immediately.
    "Dick is a seasoned professional with a depth of experience in all
human resources functions but more importantly, he will be a strong
participant in our leadership team," said Snell.  "Dick has been
instrumental in the organizational design and management process of a
number of world class companies.  His strong leadership abilities will
help the Federal-Mogul team achieve its turnaround goal on an urgent
basis."
    Randazzo joins Federal-Mogul from Nextel Communications, Inc., a
leading provider of wireless communications, where he was senior vice
president of human resources since 1994.  Prior to Nextel, Randazzo was
senior vice president of human resources at Asea Brown Boveri, Inc.;
Americas Region in Connecticut.
    Most of Randazzo's career has been at Xerox Corporation where for 23
years he served in a variety of human resource management positions.  His
most recent Xerox appointment was vice president of human resources; U.S.
Marketing Group.  Randazzo was instrumental in changing the culture of
Xerox during the 1980s and was a key member of the team that drove the
company to receive the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.
    Randazzo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business
administration from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York in
1965.  He earned a Masters of Business Administration with a
concentration in marketing and behavioral science from Indiana University
in 1967.
