Ford Announces Special Vehicles Team Web Site

Ford Special Vehicle Team Takes to the Web

DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 17 -- Automotive enthusiasts
who travel on the information superhighway now have another great
place to go: The Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) Web site. The SVT
Web page comes loaded with just about everything there is to know
about the Special Vehicle Team and its products.

Ford Motor Company created SVT as a cross-functional
team to help define, develop and market factory-produced
high-performance derivative car and truck models aimed at the serious
driving enthusiast. True to its roots, the SVT Web site has been
developed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Built around the SVT
product hallmarks of performance, substance, exclusivity and value,
the SVT site goes beyond the typical "electronic brochure." Rather
than merely showcasing Ford's 305 horsepower 1997 SVT Mustang Cobra,
SVT's site also offers development stories, product history,
production numbers, press releases, specifications -- even how to
contact owners' clubs or find the location of the certified SVT dealer
nearest you.

The SVT Web page can be accessed directly at
http://www.ford.com/vehicles/SVT, or via Ford Motor Company's own
Internet site at www.ford.com. From the latter site one can either go
into the Ford Pavilion and click on SVT, or scroll through the Ford
Showroom to the SVT Mustang Cobra Coupe icon and give it a click to
reach the SVT page.

Visitors are encouraged to sign the Guest Book before exploring
"SVT On The Road," which is packed with information on the SVT Mustang
Cobra and even includes news of an upcoming SVT sports sedan based on
the Ford Contour. Owners of any SVT product -- whether it's a 1993-95
Ford SVT F-150 Lightning, a 1993-97 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra or even a
1993 or 1995 Cobra "R" -- can also enter their vehicle's VIN to
register as a member of the growing SVT family. Ford performance
enthusiasts will enjoy reading the new features in the most recent
issue of the SVT NEWS, or brushing up on past issues of SVT's
newsletter. And a visit to the site wouldn't be complete without
checking out the "Monthly News" section to get the latest word on
what's happening at SVT.

While the SVT Web site is sure to inform and entertain those who
frequent the Internet, using a computer isn't the only way to get
information about the Ford Special Vehicle Team. All that's needed is
a telephone for a toll-free call to the SVT Info Center at
1-800-FORD-SVT (800-367-3788).
