Ford Announces New Managers at Area Facilities


Ford Names New Managers at Area Facilities

    DETROIT, Dec. 16 -- Ford Motor Company has named six
new managers to plants and offices in metropolitan Detroit in
connection with retirements and promotions.

    The changes will occur at Ford's Dearborn Assembly Plant, Wayne
Stamping and Assembly Plant, Rouge Manufacturing Complex, Livonia
Transmission Plant, Van Dyke Plant and the quality office of Ford
Vehicle Operations.

    * Wheeler Stanley, manager of the Dearborn Assembly Plant will
retire effective Jan. 1. Stanley, who began his career with Ford in
1962, has been manager of Dearborn Assembly since 1995.

    * Effective immediately, Art Janes, plant manager of Wayne
Stamping and Assembly Plant, is appointed site manager of Vehicle
Operations facilities at the Rouge Manufacturing Complex.  The
facilities include: Dearborn Assembly, Dearborn Stamping and Dearborn
Frame plants, as well as coordination of site utilities.

    * Effective immediately, Bennie Fowler manufacturing manager at
Wayne Stamping and Assembly Plant is appointed plant manager,
succeeding Art Janes.  Replacing Fowler is Kevin Rahrig, Body Area
manager at Wayne Stamping and Assembly Plant.

    * Karl Watler, manager of the Livonia Transmission Plant, will
retire effective Jan. 1. Watler, who began his career with Ford in
1961, has been manager at Livonia since 1991.  Jim O'Neill, manager of
the Van Dyke Plant, will succeed Watler at the Livonia plant.

    * Effective Jan. 1, Mark Blair, currently on special assignment in
Ford Automotive Products Operations, is appointed manager of the Van
Dyke Plant.

    * Effective immediately, Deborah Coleman, manger of the Ohio
Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio, is appointed Quality Director of
Vehicle Operations in Dearborn (Mich.). Replacing Coleman at Ohio
Assembly is Ron Reaves, manufacturing manager at the Kentucky Track
Plant.
