Rockwell Announces Dorsey Trailer Use of Anti-Lock Brakes

12/10/96

Rockwell WABCO Trailer Anti-Lock Braking System Selected as Standard
Equipment on Dorsey Trailers

TROY, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rockwell WABCO Vehicle Control Systems
has announced that its Easy-Stop(TM) 2200 trailer anti-lock braking
system (ABS) has been selected as standard equipment by Dorsey
Trailers, Inc. on all of its trailers, effective immediately.

"An increasing number of trailer OEMs are responding to the needs of
their customers and offering ABS as standard equipment. Fleets and
owner operators are demanding the greater braking control and
stability trailer ABS can offer, as well as its contribution to lower
operating costs by helping to reduce tire flatspotting and insurance
costs. We're extremely pleased that Dorsey joined these OEMs and has
chosen Rockwell WABCO ABS for its customers," said Leonard C. Buckman,
president of Rockwell WABCO Vehicle Control Systems.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., Dorsey is a major manufacturer of truck
trailer equipment and has served the trucking industry for over 85
years. Dorsey's product line includes van, refrigerated, package
delivery, rail-road piggyback, flatbed equipment and dump trailers.

To date, over 85 trailer manufacturers provide production
installations of Rockwell WABCO ABS. ABS configurations are available
from Rockwell WABCO for virtually any type of trailer including dry
vans, flatbeds, tankers, auto haulers and other specialty trailers.

For tractors, Rockwell WABCO ABS is currently standard equipment at
Freightliner, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbilt and Volvo. Additionally,
Rockwell WABCO ABS is available as optional equipment at all other
major truck/tractor OEMs and at most coach and specialty vehicle
OEMs. In total, more than 3,500 large, medium and small fleets have
specified Rockwell WABCO ABS for its safety and operational benefits.

Rockwell WABCO is a joint venture of Rockwell Automotive, a unit of
Rockwell International Corporation (NYSE-ROK) and the WABCO Automotive
