Hyundai Motor America Appoints Director of Communications

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 6 -- Hyundai Motor America
today announced the appointment of Chris Hosford as the director of
communications. In his new position, Hosford will oversee Product
Public Relations and Dealer Communications and will be based at the
company's national headquarters in Fountain Valley, California.

Formerly Executive Vice President in the Los Angeles public relations
office of GCI, Hosford has more than twenty years experience in the
automotive industry.

Previously, Hosford worked for Chrysler Corporation and prior to that
was Vice President of Hill and Knowlton's Japanese Business Division.

"We are happy to have Chris on board," said Doug Mazza, Hyundai's
chief operating officer. "He brings a wealth of experience and
enthusiasm to Hyundai."

Hyundai Motor America, based in Fountain Valley, Calif., is an
affiliate of the Hyundai Group of Seoul, Korea, one of the world's
largest industrial concerns.  Hyundai cars are distributed in the
United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced
through nearly 500 dealerships nationwide.
