GM Announces Predictions for Q1 1997 and November Production Results

General Motors Announces 1997 First Quarter Forecast and November Production Results WARREN, Mich., Dec. 6 -- General Motors today announced it intends to build 1,413,000 units during the first quarter of 1997. GM also increased its 1996 fourth quarter production estimates by some 15,000 units to 1,183,000. Overall, GM is on a pace to build 5,209,000 vehicles for the 1996 calendar year. For the month of November, GM's North American Operations produced a total of 423,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico. During the month GM built 240,000 passenger cars and 183,000 trucks.
