Ford Announces New General Marketing Manager for Lincoln-Mercury

Lincoln-Mercury Names James Rogers General Marketing Manager DETROIT, Dec. 2 -- James F. Rogers has been named General Marketing Manager for Lincoln-Mercury Division of Ford Motor Company , effective December 1. In this position, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing and brand strategies for Lincoln and Mercury products. Rogers replaces Carl Bergman, who has been appointed Customer Service Operations Manager for the Ford Customer Service Division. Prior to joining Lincoln-Mercury, Rogers was a vice president of A. T. Kearney, Inc. His work there included a number of consulting projects which focused on new product, brand and marketing strategies. Rogers also brings corporate executive experience in the areas of marketing strategy and brand management, marketing analysis, and sales force planning from Marketing Corporation of America, Citibank North America and General Foods. "We're delighted to have a person of Jim Rogers' caliber on our team," said Jim O'Connor, general manager of Lincoln-Mercury Division and Ford vice president. "Jim's understanding of brand management and his extensive experience will bring depth and insight to our efforts to build strong Lincoln and Mercury brands for the future." Rogers holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and a master of business administration degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
