Buick Announces Internet Introduction for New Regal

11/26/96

All-New 1997 1/2 Buick Regal to Premiere on World Wide Web

FLINT, Mich., Nov. 22 -- Buick Motor Division will
introduce the all-new 1997 1/2 Regal at an unprecedented internet
event December 3, before a live media audience at the Rattlesnake Club
in Detroit. National media, the public and Buick dealers will also
have the opportunity to participate in the activities and view the
premiere live on the world wide web at www.regal.com.

The Rattlesnake Club will be transformed into the "Regal Cafe," a
cyber cafe geared to provide live internet coverage across the nation
and to Internet subscribers world wide. The unveiling and
presentations by Buick General Manager Edward H. Mertz and Buick Regal
Brand Manager Roger W. Adams will be shown live on the Regal site from
12:05 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. E.S.T. Three interactive chat rooms will open
following the presentations, allowing one-on-one interaction with
designers, engineers and Regal brand team members. The live broadcast
will conclude at 1 p.m.

A series of interactive events available on the Regal home page will
demonstrate Regal's advantages over competitors in a variety of
categories such as performance, styling and roominess. In addition,
all visitors to the Regal web site beginning December 3 will be able
to register on-line to win a '97 1/2 Regal through a sweepstakes
drawing which will take place February 16 at the Chicago Auto Show.

The Regal premiere will be carried live at the following twenty cyber
cafes nationwide: Almost Paradise in Long Beach, Calif.; Cybersmith in
Palo Alto, Calif.; Cyber Java in Venice, Calif.; New Millenium Cafe
and Cybernation in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Info Haus in Tampa, Fla.;
Redlight Cafe in Atlanta, Ga.; Interactive Bean in Chicago, Ill.;
Cybersmith in Boston, Mass.; BIG Surf Cyber Cafe in Birmingham, Mich.;
Internet Cafe and Cyber Cafe in New York, N.Y.; Cybersmith in White
Plains, N.Y.; BrewChats Cyber Cafe in Portland, Ore.; CyberWorld Cafe
in Downington, Pa.; Communication Expo in Dallas, Texas; Rick's
American Cybergrill in Denton, Texas; Cyberhouse Cafe in Richmond,
Va.; and Online Internet Cafe and Speakeasy Cafe in Seattle, Wash.

According to Adams, the all-new '97 1/2 Regal is designed to meet the
needs of a consumer who desires a midsize sedan possessing unsurpassed
performance, family accommodations, and sports styling.

"The front-wheel-drive Regal GS sport sedan and Regal LS clearly
project fresh Buick brand character and styling philosophy without
abandoning the visual cues that distinguish Regal from its
competition," said Adams. "At the same time, Regal is a well
contented car that serves the needs of targeted sedan buyers, with
more standard equipment in a premium package than its domestic or
import competition."

"Regal has a great reputation for impressive performance without
sacrificing comfort or value," added Mertz. "The all-new '97 1/2 Regal
continues that tradition and expands on it. This is a beautiful car
with solid performance credentials that will appeal to a new breed of
buyers as strongly as current Buick owners."

New Regals will begin arriving in Buick dealerships during the second
quarter of 1997.
