IQuES Announces Environmental Auditing and Protection Program with Ford
11/21/96
Michigan Firm Established as Worldwide Leader in Environmental Protection DETROIT, Nov. 19 -- In the new field of corporate environmental protection, a Michigan company is pioneering in bringing ISO 14000 environmental quality management techniques to U.S. businesses. International Quality and Environmental Services, LLC (IQuES) of Northville, Michigan, is providing technical instruction on ISO 14000 environmental auditing to Ford Motor Company personnel in Canada and the U.S. as the first phase of a worldwide program to reach all Ford manufacturing affiliates on the six continents. Courses for personnel in Europe, then Mexico and Australia, will follow in the first quarter of 1997. Partly because of the Ford experience, IQuES was chosen by the American National Standards Institute to pilot a training program for environmental auditors to the newly published international guidelines issued by the International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of standardization bodies organized in Geneva, Switzerland in 1947. The IQuES ISO 14000 EMS Lead Auditor course is the first such course in the U.S. recommended for certification.
