Infiniti Introduces QX4 Sport Utility For 1997
11/14/96
Infiniti will follow the path Toyota/Lexus set last year when it made the Land Cruiser an upscale sport Ute. Infiniti will introduce a luxury version of the Nissan Pathfinder, naming it the QX4. The main difference between the Pathfinder LE and the Qx4 is the 4wd shift-on-the-fly operation. The QX4 has an "all mode" electronically controlled system that distributes engine power in a seamless linear progression between front and rear wheels. It really is more of an all-wheel-drive that a four-wheel drive. The interior is Q45ish.
