General Motors Announces October Production Results And Revised Fourth Quarter Forecast

    WARREN, Mich., Nov. 11 -- For the month of October,
GM's North American Operations produced a total of 405,000 passenger
cars and trucks in the United States, Canada and Mexico.  During the
month of October GM produced 197,000 cars and 208,000 trucks.
    GM's forecast for North American Operations production during the
fourth quarter was lowered by some 151,000 units to 1,169,000 total
vehicles.  The fourth quarter reduction is primarily attributable to
work stoppages in Canada and the United States during the month of
October.
