GM Puzzled by Odd Electrical Behavior from Raleigh Cadillacs

10/25/96

Reuters reported that General Motors officials said they were baffled by the sudden and mysterious electrical behavior that over 100 Cadillacs in the Raleigh, N.C. area exhibited last week. For about two hours, owners of 1994 and 1995 Cadillacs with remote-entry systems were surprised when their car alarms sounded, their trunk lids popped open, and their doors unlocked by themselves. A GM spokesman says there's no explanation for what might have caused the cars to all react the same way at the same time.
