Mitsubishi Announces 1997 Prices

Mitsubishi Motors Announces Pricing on its 1997 Full Line of Vehicles;
All-New Diamante and Mirage Take the Lead Toward New Attitude in
U.S. Market

CYPRESS, Calif., Oct. 17 -- Today Mitsubishi Motor Sales
of America, Inc.  announced pricing for its full line of new and
substantially refined vehicles for 1997. Led by the all-new Diamante
luxury performance sedan and the completely redesigned Mirage
sub-compact coupe and sedan, Mitsubishi Motors' 1997 product line
offers style and performance fit for a variety of budgets.

In addition to the all-new flagship Diamante and completely redesigned
Mirage, Mitsubishi Motors' aggressive product offerings include
substantial revisions to the Galant mid-size sedan, Eclipse sports
coupe and Eclipse Spyder convertible, Montero luxury sport utility
vehicle and 300OGT grand touring sports car.  Mitsubishi Motors plans
to announce its all-new Montero Sport -- a stylish, affordable and
highly refined new entry in the sport utility class -- in December,
1996. Pricing for Montero Sport will be announced later this year.
