Ford Selects Caterpillar Engines for Commercial Trucks

Reuters reported that Caterpillar announced last Thursday that Ford Motor Company will use its 3126 engine for the commercial truck line made in Louisville. Ford will install the 7.2-liter Caterpillar engine in its 101-inch Louisville trucks beginning in early 1997. Ford already uses the same engine for its Louisville 113-inch trucks. None of the terms of the new contract were disclosed.
