10/07/96
Reuters reports that Ford's German division signed an agreement with its works council that will save the company money on the production of the company's Fiesta, and keep that production in Germany.
The German daily Cologne Stadt-Anzeiger wrote in its Thursday edition that the new accord between Ford and the worker's works council would save the company about $17.6 million each year. Ford was expected to announce details of the agreement last Friday. The pact covers about 1,500 workers.
