Subaru Is Back In The Black
10/07/96
Subaru of America, thanks to the sport utility sales boom, is profitable once again and should come close to its most profitable year (1986, $94 million). The car maker expects to retail 115,000-120,000 cars this year up from 100,407 in 1995. The all-wheel drive Impreza and Legacy wagons and the new Outback--with actor Paul Hogan handling the pitchman chores--are the sales leaders.
