Toyota and Honda Lead Auto Production in Japan

Comline has reported that Japan's top five automakers reported August automobile production, sales, and export figures. Domestic production grew faster than exports at Toyota, while domestic sales at Honda outperformed its record for the previous year. Nissan's year-on-year sales dropped for the first time in two months, while Mitsubishi continued its sixth month trend of lower year-on-year sales. Mazda's year-on-year sales also dropped. Exports saw double-digit growth at Toyota and Mitsubishi, while the other three automakers witnessed only nominal growth.
