Kyodo has reported that Toyota's cumulative Japanese production will reach 90 million vehicles next Monday. Toyota made its first automobile--a truck--in 1935. The automaker's cumulative domestic production rose to 80 million in September 1993. It has produced another 10 million vehicles in the past three years. Toyota is Japan's second largest automaker. Nissan Motor Corporation started in 1933 and had reached 63 million vehicles by August 1996.
