Kikuchi forms Brazilian Joint Venture with Honda

Nikkei English News reported that Kikuchi Company and Honda Motor Company of Brazil will form a Brazilian joint venture to manufacture auto frames and panels. The move relates to Honda's decision to enter Brazilian production. The venture has acquired 50,000 square meters of land in a Sao Paulo suburb, and production will start in June 1997. The firm expects to sell its entire production to Honda at a cost of $18 million per year by 2000. The venture has been capitalized at 7.9 million dollars, Kikuchi provided 68%.
