Infiniti Redefines Luxury Car Experience as 5,000 Pampering Fingers
Provide A One-Day, Unprecedented Infiniti `Touch' of Luxury To
Business People Across America ..

CARSON, Calif., Sept. 19 -- Celebrating the nationwide
arrival of its new flagship luxury sedan -- the 1997 Q45 -- Infiniti,
the luxury car division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., today is
treating thousands of business people to an unprecedented lunch
break. Five hundred licensed stress-therapy clinicians -- 5,000
pampering fingers -- will massage the necks and shoulders of the
business masses in select New York, Los Angeles and Dallas locations.

The event, called "the Infiniti touch," commemorates the introduction
of Infiniti's new 1997 Q45 flagship luxury sedan and continues the
luxury car manufacturer's efforts to remind upscale consumers why
Infiniti was ranked No. 1 in the 1996 J.D. Power and Associates
Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).

"Infiniti has always set the benchmark in the luxury car segment --
and done so by providing an outstanding product with an unmatched
level of customer service," said Steve Kight, Director, Infiniti
Marketing. "To drive this point home during the launch of our new 1997
Q45 flagship luxury sedan, we are bringing to life Infiniti's penchant
for uncompromising luxury, comfort and service."

Deploying a force of 500 trained and licensed clinicians (300 in New
York, 100 in Los Angeles and 100 in Dallas), Infiniti will treat
passers-by to neck and shoulder stress-relief massages between the
hours of 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In each of the three Infiniti touch
cities, stress-relief recipients will relax in custom-designed
Infiniti director's chairs during their five- to 10-minute
stress-relief massages. Creating an atmosphere of luxury, soothing
music will play in the background while tuxedoed waiters escort their
"guests" to the chairs and serve sparkling water and chocolate-covered
strawberries with white-glove service. Parked nearby will be a lineup
of new Q45s for people to examine and admire.

"We're simply providing an experience of carefree luxury," adds
Kight. "Because that is what the experience of owning a fine
automobile should be."

INFINITI CHANGES TO MEET NEW NEEDS AND INCREASED COMPETITION

Infiniti sales have increased steadily between the company's debut in
1989 and 1995, when it sold nearly 60,000 units. Since its initial
year, Infiniti also has solidified its status as a luxury car maker as
evidenced by the recent No. 1 ranking in the 1996 J.D. Power and
Associates Customer Satisfaction Index.

To build on that momentum, Infiniti based its new Q45 on the changing
attitudes and needs of luxury buyers.

Infiniti expanded the strengths of the original Q45, its elegance,
distinction and driving pleasure, while adding more luxury and
refinement, and an enhanced sense of owner confidence and security. To
meet current consumers' desire for subtle status, Infiniti created a
car that is luxurious without overstating it.

In keeping with the '90s desire for improved service, Infiniti also
enhanced its customer-care philosophy called The Total Ownership
Experience(TM), Infiniti's ongoing commitment to providing the highest
quality luxury vehicles and consumer peace of mind.

To simplify and reduce negotiation time, Infiniti created a 'consumer-
based' pricing plan bringing the manufacturer's suggested retail
prices closer to actual retail transaction prices. Each sold vehicle
is covered by a price assurance policy that refunds buyers the
difference if the nationally promoted price of their car drops within
30 days after purchase.

Infiniti expanded its roadside assistance and service loan car support
to include owners of pre-owned vehicles purchased through the
company's Premier Pre-Owned Vehicle Program. Additionally, buyers of
pre-owned Infinitis have a full-refund, three-day purchase guarantee.

"We want to be the undisputed leader in customer satisfaction," Kight
said. "To beat the competition in the luxury car market you need to
carefully study the evolving desires of the buyers. We're addressing
those wishes with Infiniti's Total Ownership Experience(TM) and
elegant design of the new 1997 Q45 luxury sedan."

Beginning with the relaxed, pleasurable atmosphere found at a network
of more than 145 Infiniti dealerships and extending to Infiniti's
industry- leading warranty and ownership programs, The Total Ownership
Experience(TM) extends to all Infiniti models, including the J30
personal luxury sedan, I30 luxury sedan and the upcoming QX4 luxury
sport utility vehicle.
