Ford and Ford Dealers Help Out with Hurricane Relief

Ford and its Dealers Aid Hurricane Relief Effort


RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 17 -- North and South Carolina Ford
and Lincoln-Mercury dealers, along with Ford Motor Company, announced
here today that they will donate $50,000 to aid in the disaster relief
efforts in North Carolina and South Carolina.

President Clinton has declared several counties in the Carolinas major
disaster areas.

The Ford contribution, which will be made to the American Red Cross,
will be used to provide assistance to those living in affected
communities.

"As members of the business community, it's our duty to do everything
we can to help our neighbors during these trying times," said Rich
Arb, sales manager for Ford Division's Atlanta Region which includes
the Carolinas.

In addition, the Ford Motor Credit division of Ford Motor Company is
offering up to 90 days payment extensions for flood affected
customers.
