Honda Debuts Acura Subcompact in Canada

Nikkei English News reports that Honda Motor Co. will release the Acura 1.6EL subcompact sedan in Canada on Monday. As part of Honda's strategy to develop, produce and market automobiles in North America, the 1,600cc vehicle was developed by Honda's U.S. subsidiary and will be produced in Canada.

The car was designed specifically for Canadian drivers and will sell for 17,800-22,000 Canadian dollars. Honda set annual sales are targeted for the new vehicle at 7,000 units.
