Nissan's Terrano Regulus Sees Strong Sales
09/17/96
Kyodo has reported that its new Terrano Regulus sport utility vehicle is meeting success, having sold 1,027 since its debut on August 27, half a month ago. The company had set its monthly sales target at 1,000 vehicles.
Nissan reported that eighty percent of the orders were for models powered by the new QD32ETi diesel turbo engine. In order to keep up with demand Nissan will keep employees working through three September holidays at the Terrano Regulus assembly plant in Western Japan. The company is considering keeping its lines open through October holidays, as well.
