Samsung Motors Expresses Satisfaction on Mid-Size KPQ Series
09/16/96
Comline has reported that Samsung Motors is happy with the quality of its mid-sized passenger cars, the KPQ series, which the company is developing in conjunction with Nissan of Japan.
The KPQ Series will debut in March 1998. Samsung's self-evaluation calls the series' quality "satisfactory" despite its simple design. A Samsung official said, "Its design is plain compared with public interest in Samsung cars, but its performance is excellent enough to make even Nissan's research staff surprised." KPQ engines gained high scores in horse power, driving soundness and stillness.
Samsung is confident about the series' long-term prospects: "The design may not be appealing to customers, but KPQ series will be able to enjoy a growing popularity in the long-term due to performance and quality," said a spokesperson.
