Infiniti Announces Sales for August 1996

Infiniti Reports August Sales Infiniti Sales Increase 24.8 Percent Over Last Year

CARSON, Calif., Sept. 4 -- Infiniti, the luxury car
division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., today announced total
August vehicle sales of 6,450 units, a 24.8 increase over last year.

The I30 luxury sedan led August sales with 2,810 units sold, a 35.8
percent increase from the same period last year. Following the I30 in
sales is the G20 luxury sports sedan which posted 2,211 units, a 53.7
percent increase over last year. The J30 personal luxury sedan
reported sales of 975 units; and the Q45 luxury performance sedan
recorded 454 units for the month of August, a 111.1 percent increase
over last month.

Total Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. sales for August, including
Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, were 82,068 units, an increase of 2
percent.

All numbers include Hawaii.
