08/23/96
Reuters reported that General Motors Corporation's Brazilian unit expects to end 1996 with sales of at least $700 million. The figure represents 150 percent better performance than the unit saw in 1995 and was published by a local news agency that cited GM do Brasil's director, Luiz Moan Yabiko Junior. The private Invest News agency also said the company hoped to export $3.6 billion in goods between now and the end of 1999.
