Nissan's Primera Goes from U.K. to Taiwan

08/16/96

Comline has reported that Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. will begin exporting the U.K. built Primera to Taiwan at the rate of about 200 units a month. Nissan switched production at its Taiwanese plant from the Primera over to the Cefiro at the beginning of the year. Demand for the Primera in Taiwan has remained strong, though, and Nissan resorted to imports to satisfy it. Japan is using it's U.K. base to send cars to Taiwan, because Japan is restricted from sending finished cars to he country.
