Nikkei English News has reported that Nissan Motor Co. has set up a World Wide Web page on the Internet that takes surfers on a virtual tour of an automobile factory. Nissan said that the tour is geared toward elementary schoolkids and furthering their knowledge of the auto industry.
The tour features the Nissan factory in Kyushu, Japan and follows the production of one vehicle from the purchase of materials through metal pressing, welding, assembly, and delivery. Special effects, including a scene that shows sparks flying like fireworks as several robots weld an auto body, have been added.
