Ford to Sell Jaguar XK8 in Japan

Reuters reported that Jaguar Japan Ltd will start taking advance orders for the Jaguar XK8 on August 8. Jaguar Japan Ltd is the Japanese unit of Jaguar Cars Ltd., a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.

The prices of Jaguars in Japan will be roughly $82,000 for the XK8 Coupe, $92,000 for an XK8 Coupe Classic, and $108,000 for the XK8 Convertible. Delivery of the new sports cars will begin in November.

Jaguar Japan set an yearly sales goal of 500 for the XK8 in 1997, and the company hopes to sell 200 cars in November and December of this year. The Jaguar XK8 comes equipped with a 3966 cc V8 engine.
