Land Rover and the Governor of Maryland to Dedicate Off-Pavement Demo Course

07/09/96

Today Land Rover North America, the Governor of Maryland Parris N. Glendening, and Prince George County Executive Wayne K. Curry will dedicate an off-pavement demonstration course that was designed and built by John Cummings, who also landscaped EuroDisney. The Quarter-mile demonstration course is the first phase in the construction of a $10 million national headquarters installation for Land Rover, which will eventually include a 60,000 square foot office complex and campus for Land Rover University.

The Governor, the county executor and other of Land Rover's guests will navigate the course while renowned veterans of Camel Trophy Events look on. Land Rover will celebrate its tenth anniversary of U.S. operations next year.
