06/24/96
In an effort to show the auto buying public that Detroit automotive engineers are just as savvy as those in Stuttgart and Tokyo, the guys at Buick have a few new wrinkles for the 1997 Park Avenue and the supercharged Park Avenue Ultra. Not much to talk about in the way of styling changes, however. In the fall you will see:
A 3 inches longer Park Avenue.
More spacious interior.
Seat mounted safety belts.
Air bag deployment that unlocks doors in 15 seconds
New turbo-hydramatic transaxle
Magnetic variable rack and pinion steering
ComfortTemp climate control with adjustable rear set vents
Optional rain sensing window wipers
Highly visible head up display (on windshield) which shows gauges
Illuminated writing surface
Dual cup holders in front.
Nine speaker concert sound radio/CD
100,000 mile engine coolant system
