Volkswagen Like J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Study

Volkswagen of America has called the results of J.D. Power's most recent Sales Satisfaction Study (SSI) "exceptional." Based on this years Car and Truck Results for multi brand corporations, Volkswagen led the entire industry in 1996 SSI scores.

Commenting on VW's success, the company issued the following statement: "While this comprehensive ranking in the study was not part of today's J.D. Power and Associates release to the media, it clearly demonstrates the overall sales satisfaction being delivered by the Volkswagen and Audi brands in the U.S."

By and large sales satisfaction leveled off, but VW counted itself among one of 12 makes to show an improvement over the SSI marks they got last year. Volkswagen's SSI rating was 127, while the industry average rang in at 119. VW ranked as the fourth most improved automaker in this year's study.
