Kia Announces First Knee Airbag . . . New Pricing

Kia Motors America is putting the first ever knee airbag in its Kia Sportage Sports Utility model that goes on sale at 170 dealers in 20 states next month. Located below the steering column the knee airbag is designed to deploy against the drivers lower legs, reducing the forward movement of the drivers lower body under the dashboard after impact. The knee airbag extends 4.7 inched when fully inflated and helps protect the drivers knees and lower legs.

Kia also announced new pricing for its Sportage models:

          Sportage 4WD                  $15,295
          Sportage EX 4WD               $15,995
          Sportage 2WD                  $13,795
