Chrysler Raises Prices Up to $300 per Vehicle
06/10/96
Strong consumer demand has led Chrysler to feel safe in raising prices on cars and minivans as much as $300 per vehicle. The price hike came less than one week after the company reported a 17 percent rise in May sales, a monthly record.
Chrysler upped prices on Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Concorde, and Eagle Vision ESi models by $300 each; they raised prices on Dodge Stratus and Plymouth Breeze cars by $250; and they hiked prices on Neons by $95.
The corporation also boosted costs for all minivans equipped with the optional left-side sliding doors by $95. They applied the same increase to the Chrysler Town & Country LXi, which offers the door as standard equipment.
