Jesse Jackson Declares War on Import Car Makers/Dealers

The Rev. Jesse Jackson says that there are 10,400 import car dealerships in the U.S. and of this group only 21 are black dealers. Jackson says that this is totally unacceptable to him and that he is going to stage boycotts of dealers and take action against the factories starting with Mitsubishi a company that is having a traumatic period due to sexual harassment complaints. The National Association of Minority Auto Dealers (NAMAD) says that only 11 of 27 import car makers have any minority franchises. The NAMAD will cooperate with Jackson on staging the boycotts.
