CART: U.S. 500 - Entry List

CART published an entry list for the U.S. 500, the race they invented to draw drivers away from the Indy Racing League's Indy 500. The race will run on Memorial day, opposite the Indy 500, at Michigan International Speedway. Three former Indy 500 winners top the list: Al Unser, Jr. (1994), Emerson Fittipaldi (1993), and Bobby Rahal (1986). A total of 29 cars and 27 drivers are entered in the race. A couple of weeks ago the IRL announced entries for the Indy 500, topping 30.
