FTC Investigates Automakers' Practice of Lemon Re-Sale

The Federal Trade Commission says it will investigate whether car companies give consumers who buy previously owned lemons enough information about the cars' histories. Consumer advocates successfully persuaded the FTC to take a close look at how cars that automakers buy back from consumers under state lemon laws are resold. The FTC will also determine how extensively car companies resell lemons.
