GM to Buy Israeli Parts

United Press International reported that GM has signed several deals with Israeli businesses and is trying to establish ties with one hundred potential Israeli parts suppliers. GM announced the news at a dinner in Detroit that was hosted by the American-Israeli Chamber of Commerce of Michigan. Michael Triason, president of the American-Israeli Chamber of Commerce announced that the chamber would establish an Israeli Automotive Parts Products and Distributors subsidiary. GM said it is turning to Israel for parts in order to maximize the potential of world markets as the company works to become a more global manufacturer.
