NHTSA Taking A Close Look AT Honda, Ford, Dodge, Pontiac

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as mentioned on TACH last week is keeping a close eye on Dodge and the 13 complaints filed re the Vipers fly away rag tops. Other NHTSA investigations underway are:

Honda Accord for oversensitive airbag deployment including 17 accidents involving airbags.

FORD EXPLORER for malfunctioning anti-lock brakes systems - includes 46 complaints, seven accidents with two injuries.

PONTIAC GRAND PRIX for windshield wiper failure resulting in 11 accidents.

DODGE RAM PICKUP for windshield wiper failure due to freezing water in wiper cowling.

FORD WINDSTAR for automatic transmission park/lock system failure. One accident, no injuries.
