Analysts Say UAW Strike Could Hurt Steel Industry

Reuters reported that as UAW Local 696's strike continues and more and more GM auto assembly plants shut down, U.S. steelmakers are wondering how much they will be affected. GM is one of the U.S. steel industry's biggest steel customers. One industry analyst has predicted that, if the strike continues, stopped automobile assembly lines will affect steel producers as early as next week.
