Ford's January Sales Down

Reuters reported that January sales are down 3.4% at Ford Motor Co., ranking it last for January sales among the Big Three. Ford sold 269,579 cars and light trucks during the month, as compared to 268,424 in January of 1995 period. Total sales may be up, but the daily average sales rate fell because January had an extra selling day this year. Passenger car sales are down 8.8%.
