A Sebring Orange 2026 Stingray Marks Major Achievement for Widely Respected & Popular Corvette Delivery Program

BOWLING GREEN, KY -September 23, 2025 - The National Corvette Museum celebrated a significant milestone yesterday with the delivery of the 20,000th Corvette through its lauded R8C Museum Delivery<http://www.corvettemuseum.org/r8c-delivery> program.

The milestone vehicle, a stunning 2026 Corvette Stingray in Sebring Orange, was delivered to Tim Vandagriff of Ardmore, OK, marking another chapter in the program's remarkable success story. The Museum, located in Bowling Green, KY, sits adjacent to the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant where every Corvette is built. This proximity makes the museum a natural destination for Corvette enthusiasts and the perfect location for new owners to begin their Corvette journey.

"I've been dreaming about owning a Corvette since I was a kid, and to take delivery of my Sebring Orange Stingray here at the National Corvette Museum as the 20,000th R8C delivery is just so cool," said Vandagriff. "Walking through the museum, seeing the history of America's Sports Car, and then getting the keys to my own piece of that legacy right here where it all comes together? Amazing. The personal, hands-on experience with this R8C program is one of a kind."

The R8C Museum Delivery program, which allows Corvette buyers to take delivery of their new vehicles at the National Corvette Museum, has grown exponentially since its inception. This unique experience combines the excitement of receiving a new Corvette with an immersive visit to the world's premier automotive museum dedicated to America's Sports Car.

Program History and Notable R8C Deliveries

The R8C Museum Delivery program launched in 1995 for 1996 model year deliveries, just one year after the National Corvette Museum opened its doors. What began as a unique alternative to traditional dealership delivery has grown into one of the museum's most beloved programs, attracting Corvette enthusiasts from all 50 states and numerous countries around the world.

For more than three decades, the program has facilitated the delivery of many significant Corvettes, including:

  • The final Seventh Generation Corvette - The last seventh-generation Corvette rolled off the assembly line and was delivered in 2019, marking the end of an era.
  • First Mid-Engine Corvettes - Early production 2020 eighth-generation Corvettes delivered represented the beginning of Corvette's revolutionary mid-engine chapter.
  • Special Edition Models - Numerous Z06, ZR1, Grand Sport, and limited-edition Corvettes have made their way to owners through the museum delivery experience.
  • Milestone Production Corvettes - Various production milestone vehicles, including significant numbered Corvettes from the assembly plant.
  • Celebrity and VIP Deliveries - Notable personalities and Corvette dignitaries have chosen the museum delivery experience for their special vehicles.
