NEW YORK, Sept. 3, 2025 -- Carteav's autonomous low-speed vehicle solution is now officially live at the second-largest National Park in the country, the Ramat Gan National Park – a joint initiative between Carteav and the City of Ramat Gan.

A New Way to Explore a Huge Urban Green Space

Stretching over hundreds of acres, Ramat Gan National Park is one of Israel's most beloved and expansive green spaces. The autonomous vehicle travels along a fixed route with designated stops throughout the park, providing easy and comfortable transport for all – especially elderly visitors and those with mobility challenges.

Crucially, the vehicle is safely operating side by side with pedestrians and cyclists in real-world conditions – proving that autonomous mobility can integrate seamlessly into vibrant, busy public environments.

The service is currently running in shuttle mode with fixed stops. As more people register, the service will transition into a flexible on-demand model, giving visitors greater convenience and choice.

The successful launch has already sparked interest from other parks and municipalities both locally and internationally.

From the Mayor

"This project underscores our commitment to transforming Ramat Gan into a hub of AI-driven innovation, sustainable mobility, and accessibility," said Mayor Carmel Shama HaCohen. "By using autonomous technology, we're enabling thousands of daily visitors – especially the elderly and mobility-restricted – to experience the magic of the park safely and comfortably."

"The potential is vast: autonomous mobility solutions are already being explored in municipalities and pedestrian-only areas, where seamless, low-speed transport can transform accessibility and enrich daily experiences. We're showing the future for countless new applications in parks, office campuses, retirement villages, gated communities, industrial zones, and beyond."
