Comprehensive list of Greater Boston's Best of the Best in Print Sunday, July 13; available online now at Globe.com/Best

BOSTON, July 9, 2025 -- The Boston Globe today released its Best of the Best 2025, its annual list of Boston's best dining, shopping, and entertainment. This year's list identifies the best Greater Boston has to offer across 28 categories, including sandwich shops, record stores, ice cream, seafood, nightlife, breweries, and more.

In its second year, the Best of the Best is the result of careful deliberations from the experts at the heart of The Boston Globe, including food critics, restaurant reviewers, experienced journalists, trusted correspondents, and special contributors. This well-researched and carefully tested list of more than 300 winners represents a diverse, current, and practical guide to the city.

"The journalists at the Globe know and love this city," said Annalisa Quinn, interim editor of Globe magazine. "That's why, when putting together our Best of the Best list, we turned to the people whose job it is to cover it. Whether it's the perfect slice of pizza, a really great martini, or our favorite places for standup comedy, these are the things that make Boston (and Somerville and Cambridge and Brookline) feel like home."

This year, several Globe Best of the Best list segments are available as curated guides on Apple Maps. For example, visit Apple Maps and search Best Comedy Clubs in Boston or Best Sushi Spots in Boston to learn where the 2025 establishments are located so that you can plan your visit.

Print readers can explore the full list of The Boston Globe's Best of the Best in a special Sunday edition of Globe Magazine, out on July 13. As New England's leading news source, The Boston Globe is eager to hear from readers about their personal picks, biggest upsets, or unforgivable omissions. Feedback can be submitted here.
