PORTLAND, Ore., July 8, 2025 -- Leatherman Tool Group (Leatherman), a renowned American-made brand known for its high-quality multipurpose products, enters a new defining category with the launch of its bold, new 2025 knife collection. Balancing rugged performance and minimalist aesthetics, the Leatherman Knife Collection features five models: a trio of fixed blades and two compact folders. Each knife is crafted with premium, highly durable materials at the company's industry-leading manufacturing facilities in Portland, Oregon.
The Leatherman Knife Collection debuts alongside the company's new Built Different brand campaign. Built Different honors Leatherman's category-defining heritage while elevating its continued commitment to forward-thinking utility products—like knives—designed to inspire, equip, and prepare everyone to take on the expected and unexpected.
"For over 40 years, Leatherman has perfected our category-defining multi-tools, and now we're bringing our unmatched expertise, focus, and obsession with detail into a new chapter that allows us to offer more utility products to our customers," said Ben Rivera, CEO of Leatherman Tool Group. "We've been building knives for decades as part of our multi-tool designs, and our knife collection is more than just a new product. A Leatherman knife speaks to a user's identity, about doing more with less. It's about being built differently."
Fixed Blade Knives
The fixed blade series launches with three knives, each crafted for a distinct purpose. First up, the Pioneer™ ($299.95) is a heavy-duty knife built to take on the toughest outdoor challenges. Its five-inch MagnaCut® blade offers exceptional durability and long-lasting sharpness, while the Japanese Tanto profile excels at chopping, batoning, notching, and prying, making it ideal for survivalists and bushcraft experts. A large lanyard hole in the tough and grippy G10 handle provides easy attachment options, adding to its versatility in the field. The unique included hybrid sheath, crafted from durable full-grain American leather and Kydex®, can be secured to a belt for quick-reach carry. The Pioneer will be available in two colors: Alpine and Orange Pop.
The Trac™ ($299.95) is the quintessential outdoor knife. It features fully radiused edges along the hollow saber grind and a 4.20-inch drop-point, full-tang MagnaCut® steel blade that delivers exceptional cutting power and slicing precision, making it a versatile workhorse for harvesting, hunting, foraging, and wilderness exploration. Machined jimping provides superior handling and leverage, while the machined and oiled G10 handle offers both comfort and rugged durability. A premium vegetable-tanned, hand-stitched American full-grain leather sheath is included, allowing the Trac to be carried horizontally or vertically, on the left or right side for maximum versatility. The Trac will be available in three colors: Alpine, Jet Black, and Earth Brown.
Rounding out the lineup, the Rustle™ ($279.95)—Leatherman's take on the essential camp chef knife, specifically designed for outdoor meal prep and campsite cooking. This Santoku-style, full-tang MagnaCut® steel blade delivers both straight cuts and thin slicing, making it a versatile tool for any camp kitchen. With a compact four-inch blade and an ergonomic, easy-to-grip G10 handle, it's perfectly suited for tight workspaces. It's completed with a rugged Kydex® sheath that provides exceptional impact resistance and ensures this premium camp kitchen essential is ready for any adventure. The Rustle will be available in three colors: Alpine, Vapor Gray, and Evergreen.
Folding Knives
In addition to the three fixed blades, the Leatherman Knife Collection introduces two lightweight folding knives—the Blazer™ ($299.95) and Glider™ ($299.95)—designed for modern everyday carry. Backed by over 40 years of engineering expertise, these folders deliver best-in-class performance paired with sophisticated aesthetics. Both models feature handles made from machined 416 stainless-steel scales, internally cored for optimal weight and balance. Their distinct faceted handle design with only two visible fasteners not only enhances aesthetics but also provides a comfortable, secure grip in hand.
Both folders are equipped with premium MagnaCut™ steel blades, offering exceptional durability, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The 3.15-inch Blazer, with its hollow saber ground drop point blade, is built for the everyday adventurer. The 3-inch Glider features a hollow saber ground modified sheepsfoot blade ideal for utility tasks and everyday carry.
Shared features across both knives include a reversible square wire pocket clip for versatile carry, a patent-pending Compression Wedge Lock that is secure and ambidextrous, and a lanyard and bead with a unique bit attachment for added functionality. Both models will be available in three color options: Alpine, Jet Black, and Okra for Glider and Denim, Alpine, and Stainless Steel for Blazer with a Cerakote® finish on all colors except Stainless, offering durable color to match your style and environment.
Leatherman Knives are backed by the brand's 25-year warranty, which includes complimentary blade sharpening for all MagnaCut steel blades. Customers can enjoy an extended 40-year warranty and several other exclusive perks and rewards by joining Leatherman's Insider program.
